+Finger (aka @finger finger +id whois etc.) is the most common version of the command used on most MU*s to find information on a player's character, or the player himself. It is similar to the unix command. On MUSHes and similar games, such as MUXes, it is usually a softcoded command. However, most MUDs are without a soft coding language, and the command is built into the hardcode.
