The Aurora, highest authority of the Church of True Light, is said to have died with the sunset last night. His death triggers a conclave to ratify his still-private choice of successor, as well as to replace the three other Corona members who have passed into the light in the last several months with no conclaves to replace them. It remains to be seen how the church deals with the replacement of the Lightkeeper, traditionally appointed by the Emperor from one of three choices presented by the Council. Never in memory has the church council seen so many empty seats, a state of affairs attributed to the Aurora's mysterious disappearance from the public sphere, attributed to disabling illness, when usually he would have been available to call conclave to replace each Patron as needed.
